The records with source code 0 or 1 are derived from OpenStreetMap and form a Derivative Database under the ODbL 1.0. A machine-readable copy of them and the script that builds this file: https://speedcam.cc/data/. Official records take no geometry or values from OpenStreetMap. OSM values only decided where two official values are left out: LADOT's 25 mph prima facie value where OSM has a lower limit (0.2 km at 5 mph, 0.5 km at 10 mph, 20.6 km at 15 mph, 6.4 km at 20 mph), and 32.1 km of 2018 LADOT base-map values of 35 mph or less that the 2025 LAMC_35 layer no longer lists, where OSM has a higher limit. A build with --no-osm has no OSM content and no OSM influence. LA City local streets show the 25 mph prima facie limit (California Vehicle Code 22352) as labelled by LADOT. School-zone and time-of-day limits are not included. Speed limits may be missing, outdated or wrong. Posted signs always govern.
